Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway are presented a "Lifetime Achievement Award" by BASCA (British Association of Songwriters, Composers & Authors). Former Denmark Street office boy Elton John was the first on his feet to applaud the Rogers after a memorable speech by Bill Martin. Roger Cook stole the show with a rendition of Talking In Your Sleep.
Charles Dobson receives the Zelda demo tape from Roger with eight songs on it. He was "overwhelmed" by what he heard and advised Roger that he was willing to provide 100% finance for the development and production of the show.
Les Reed approaches Roger on behalf of the Duchess of York charity, Children In Need, to co-write a theme song for the charity. They pen  'Shine A Light' and Roger records the song with Madeline Bell
